House mandarin oranges have firmly established themselves as a summer fruit. These mandarins have a thinner rind than the farm-grown mandarins, the pulp is soft, the sugar content is high, and there is a delicious balance between the acidity and sweetness.

This pear is a very valuable variety, and is known as a rare pear. Yokan is a traditional Japanese sweet, and has joined our lineup for the first time. The chestnuts, yuzu and ume in the ingredients were all grown using generous amounts of organic fertilizer, resulting in a soil rich in nutrients and all but eliminating any need for agricultural chemicals.  Dried shiitake mushrooms (Chabana) (Tottori Prefecture)
Dried shiitake mushrooms are highly nutritious and have a depth of flavor. Shiitake mushrooms are known to help lower cholesterol, and are very healthy. Tottori produces shiitake mushrooms that are fleshy and delicious, and are not only part of a Japanese meal, but go very well with Chinese as well, lifting flavor to the next level.

Add boiled water and wait 3 minutes! This cup rice porridge is simple and delicious. This rice porridge uses deliciously plump alpha rice, with a Japanese style broth. Perfect as an in-flight snack!

Yume-toiro (Shimane Prefecture)

This rice porridge and rice gruel uses a variety of rice called「Yume-toiro」. The white rice gruel has a simple flavour, while the rice porridge contains chicken, burdock root and carrots. The perfect dish for when you are ”homesick” for Japan!

Yuzu-kosho (Oita Prefecture)

This condiment is made from a paste of the rind from yuzu (a citrus fruit) and ground chilli pepper, which is then blended with salt and allowed to mature. It is perfect in hotpots, with cold tofu, or even steak.
